Weekend Immersion
Weekend Immersions are two days - Saturday and Sunday. An Immersion is a real-world learning experience where students will use ASL only for these two days.
There is an optional reception at our office/classroom in Pawtucket, RI on Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 with light refreshments served.
Students go on a field trip on Saturday, riding a city bus to a destination where they will then go about their activities using the target language, ASL, only. Through this natural experience, students will expand their vocabulary and understanding of the language. On Sunday, students will talk about their field trip experience and engage in other activities that will provide guidance and support for them individually.
Cost: $ 175.00 (this includes lunches on both days, bus transportation and any tickets or fees for museums or activities.
