2020 WINTER and SUMMER INSTITUTES, Immersions and ASL Scholars Institute (for high school students)

American Sign Language Institutes are training sessions that are the equivalent to two levels of our standard class curriculum. Students taking one or more Institutes can accelerate their progress toward fluency.  See the descriptions below.

Please note:  Institutes are not ASL camps.  We offer a classroom experience.  We do not have dorms or housing facilities.  Nearby, there are a number of Airbnbs that range in price from $30.00 a night and up. There are many hotels in the area.  If you want suggestions or assistance, we will be happy to help.

The Institutes can take place throughout the year at one of our sites or at your facility. They are available nationally.
Outside a fifty mile radius of Providence, RI, there are travel fees and possibly accommodation fees. At your site, we can offer the level 1, 2 or 3 Institute.

Summer Institutes have brought students together from all over the country.  We have had students from: California, Colorado, Wisconsin, New Jersey, New York, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Florida, Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Illinois, Washington and Missouri.  These intensive trainings build your knowledge, skill and confidence quickly.  Last year, for the first time, we welcomed international students from the Dominican Republic, Switzerland and France.

For those who travel here, we can provide transportation – pick up at the train station, bus station or airport, and car pooling while here.

You can register online or we can send you a registration form.
